Thank you for sharing the article! I do agree that despite the mental issues, we'll eventually turn out great, but overcoming anxiety cannot be done overnight, so I guess we all need time to figure that out.
excellent write up! Pretty sure the financial insecurity bit cuts across gens as we're seeing more polarization in income and a wacky economy, but nevertheless, I guess gen Z being the last in to the workforce would feel it more than others....
Yes, that's an excellent point on the issue. Most Gen Zers are either fresh graduates or those with several years of working experience, so their attitude towards layoffs and financial constraints might be a bit different to the previous generations.
Lee, thank you so much for mentioning and linking Shy Guy Meets the Buddha in your essay. This piece is a great bit of research on culture that you've obviously worked very hard on. Well done!
Thank you for your kind words, Don! This piece is partially my own reflection on my experience as a Gen Z, your articles have been a huge inspiration for me to write this.
Professional writing for a hobbiest!
Aw thank you, my friend! That's a high praise, I really appreciate that.
We've had anxious generations before, so my advice to Zoomers is to own their anxiety and realize they'll be a great generation anyway:
