excellent writeup! while teletherapy is certainly moving in line with the trend of digitalization, it sidesteps the root cause of the issue, in that gen Z seems to take the virtual world as the real world, and having therapy in person with a therapist is interacting with the tangible and real and could offer them a glimpse of a real person with real things to say (who're strangers, but not a virtual one) instead of the sensory overload in the virtual world and social media which is commonplace nowadays contributing to many of the distorted views and perception we see
Thank you for the comment. I totally agree with your point about how virtual therapy would sidestep the root cause. A tech-savvy generation such as Gen Z should consider in-person sessions as their top option, social media and Internet space are hurting their social skills too much after all, a real-life heart-to-heart conversation might be what they truly need.
I love aesthetics of this publication, really well done!
Thank you very much! That's a high praise
Thanks for sharing this- I've always wondered what people think of teletherapy. And now I understand your perspective. Hope you're well this week-
Thank you for spending time reading my post, Thalia! It's not something new but a suitable approach to most young adults these days ☺️
